Peak Assault by its nature requires many volunteers to help it run smoothly and to ensure the safety of the participants on the hills. There are many areas where volunteers can help the team. Such areas are:
- Hill Marshalls - The eyes and feet on the hills ensuring competitors are keeping in the spirit of the competition, are safe and well, and their location is known at all times.
- Kit Checkers - Ensure the competitors adhere to the kit list.
- Base Camp staff - Help to create the base camp and surroundings before the competitiors and supporters arrive, manage it during the competition and then clear up again afterwards!
- Field Response Team - Are on hand to respond to any injuries or other emergencies during the competition, also supporting the medical team.
- Medical Team - Ensure the health and welfare of competitors, supporters and staff throughout the weekend.
- Advanced Party - Arrive midweek at the Peak Assault Location to lay out the course, identify any difficulties or issues with the course and the managment of it.
The absolute minimum requirement for any role is that you are over 18, and have a valid Scouting CRB disclosure.
