The Herts Scouts and Guides Canoe Team are unique within the county, as they are made up of BCU Instructors from both organisations. We offer a variety of different opportunities for getting individuals, groups or troops on to the water. During the year, summer and winter new BCU 1 and 2 star courses are scheduled. A variety of river trips suitable for novices through to those interested in wishing to experience paddling on moving water are planned, we also offer bespoke fun sessions. In the past, we have also provided instructors to lead troop river trips and support D of E expeditions.
The County have a variety of different craft that you can use and or hire, including kayaks, canoes and even a sit on top!
For those wishing to progress further in their paddling, either to BCU 3 star or as an instructor, the County Team are able to help and support progressing.

The Cub water Activity day is back and we aim to give you a bit more out of it for your Cub Scouts. Your Cub Scouts can walk away with their Cub Water Activity Badge.
This year, Cub Water Activity Day is being held at:
Fairlands Valley Lakes in Stevenage, on Sunday 17th June 2012. The cost is £16 per Cub.
