Lochearnhead is a converted railway station that is situated about 30 miles north of Stirling, which features bunk accommodation for up to 90 people and access to the finest walking country in central Scotland. Within five miles of the Station there are more than 120 hills that are over 600 metres. The area surrounding Lochearnhead can provide both an introduction to the hills for the beginner and a serious challenge to the experienced walker, which makes Lochearnhead an ideal location for activities for all ages. The views over Loch Earn give a tantalising glimpse of water based activities such as sailing, canoeing and waterskiing from the water sports centre. Fishing is also available Nearby is a Sustrans national cycle route that follows the upper railway line from Calendar through to Killin and beyond.
