Lochearnhead Scout Station is celebrating 50 years as a Hertfordshire Scouts Centre in 2012. Opportunities are available for Explorers and Leaders to take part in celebratory activity weeks during August. We are also looking for people who attended the opening in 1962.

Celebrate the 50th opening of the Station weekend 4th August
Want to get some experience for D of E, or just some wild country experience; then just ask.
Coaches leaving 28th July and 3rd August
Come as a small group – with a leader.
Cost approx £225 per head per week.
Have always wanted to go but could not go for two weeks?

Lochearnhead Exhibition
To support the celebratory Activity Fortnight being held in August 2012 at The Station we are holding an Exhibition and Reunion at the Well End Activity Centre in Hertfordshire. We are looking to find Staff and Scouts who were present during the ‘Opening’ period from the 28th.July to 11th.August 1962. We have already had some success and are hoping to hear from many more visitors, Scout Leaders, Rover Scouts, Senior Scouts and Commissioners.
We already know Scout Leaders and Senior Scouts from Hertford Sea Scouts and Hitchin Scouts were present. If anyone can remember their Father, Grandfather or Uncle who was at Lochearnhead during that time or have any memorabilia will they please contact me.
