Well End, with five acres of camping field and four acres of woodland, is perfectly suited for camps of all sizes. This site also offers a bouldering wall, climbing, archery and rifle shooting. The indoor accommodation makes it ideal for training courses and pack holidays.

Well End Activity Centre is a versatile site, which is 10 minutes from St Albans and 20 minutes (by train) from Central London.

With five acres of camping filed and four acres of woodland along with a campfire circle and a wide range of activities, it is an ideal site for camps of all sizes. In addition, Well End has extensive indoor accommodation, large meeting areas and two large kitchens, making it suitable for training courses, conferences, dinners and Pack holidays.

The site’s friendly staff offer activity days, which are popular with local schools and youth groups. A typical day could include Archery, Abseiling, Rifle Shooting, Climbing, Bouldering, Knockout Challenge, Obstacle Course, Mountain Biking (bikes supplies), Nature Walks and Orienteering. The site is a Hertfordshire Scouts Main Training Centre, which means it is used frequently for Leader Training courses.

A small Providore is open by arrangement and provides campers and visitors with souvenirs sweets and refreshments. There is also a car park with space for up to 30 vehicles and a toilet and shower block with hot and cold water.
