The expedition will be under canvas. This will be the fifth expedition organised by this team. The dates are Wednesday 25th July 2018 to Monday 13th August 2018. The cost, including return airfare, accommodation, local travel and food is circa £2000.00. A payment plan will be agreed with each participant.

The expedition is looking to provide a 40’ container adapted for community use in Swaziland. The group will look to collect items and materials requested in Swaziland for packing in the container before sending it out in advance of the expedition.
There will be a fundraising programme which participants are expected to take part in.
The expedition is open to Hertfordshire Scout members. Network, Explorer Scouts and Scouts (who will be 14 by 26th July 2018). In order to take part in the expedition, please complete the application form, ask your section leader to complete the reference form (on the reverse of the application form). Forward your application with a £50 deposit cheque to the Hertfordshire Scouts, County office by February 2nd 2017. There will be a selection day on Sunday 19th February 2017 (more detail to follow), which you will be expected to attend. This is an opportunity to meet the organising team and discover what is involved in the expedition. If you decide not to take part, then your £50 cheque will be returned to you. Once accepted onto the expedition, a training, fundraising and payment programme will be agreed with you. The £50 non refundable deposit will be used to purchase your insurance cover for the expedition.
