My Membership Learning

In order to complete all mandatory training on the 'Scouts Membership System', please follow the step by step information below.

Logging into the Membership System:

 

You should have received an email confirming your profile was created at scouts.org.uk. If you already have a login, please click HERE to sign in and follow the below instructions.

Click the link on the email you’ve received to register your password.

​

On the ‘Register or reset your password’ page:

1. Type your login email into the box. 

2. Click ‘Send verification code’.  

You’ll receive an email with a 6-digit code in the next 5 minutes. Remember to check your spam folder as this email comes from a unique

email address not related to Scouts. If you haven’t received the email, check if your email address is correct. If it is not, please email hrsupport@hertfordshirescouts.org.uk.  

3. Type the code you received by email into the ‘Verification Code’ box.

4. Click ‘Verify code’.

 

5. Click ‘Continue’.

On the ‘Update Password’ page:

6. Type a new password into the box.

7. Type the password again into the ‘Confirm New Password’ box.

8. Click ‘Continue’.

9. If it does not keep you logged in, please log back in using the your email and password you just created.

Completing the basic details information:

​

Once logged in, you will need to complete the basic details required. This can be done by following the instructions below.

​

1. Once logged in, click on your initial in the circle in the top right corner.

2. Scroll down past personal details, and complete the relevant sections - click the blue edit in the top right corner of each part ensuring you click save once completed.

​

- Salutation.

- Registered Address

- Postal Address

​

Once completing the above - it's time to complete medical and emergency information.

1. Click on the right hand side grey tool bar - 'My Profile'.

2. Click 'Medical Details'.

3. Complete the necessary details - Allergies, Dietary Needs, Emergency Contacts. These can all be completed by pressing the blue 'edit' but on the right of each section. You are welcome to complete the other sections such as additional emergency contacts if you wish too.

Starting your mandatory training:

​

To complete the set up of your membership portal, you will need to complete 5 training sessions known as 'Growing Roots'.

 

The 5 sessions are:

1 - Safety

2 - Safeguarding

3 - Creating Inclusion

4 - Data Protection in Scouts

5 - Who we are and what we do

​

If you are a volunteer, these should appear in your learning section immediately. If you are a locally employed member of staff these will not. Please follow the instructions below to find each of the above training sessions and complete all prior to starting.

 

Finding Training on the My Learning.

On your welcome page: 

  1. Click ‘My learning’. 

On the ‘My overview’ page (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right): 

  1. Click ‘Explore the learning’.  

On the ‘Explore the learning’ page: 

  1. Type the training session, eg 'safety' into the search box and click ‘Search’.

Enrolling in the Training Session:

Once you have found the training you need to start, click the arrow in the bottom right and click 'enrol'.

This will take you to the learning page and take you through the learning step by step.

Please note - if you have already completed this training and more than 24 hours has passed - it should show as Enrolled on this section.
